Grind Time at Everyday Café

Grind Time at Everyday Café officially kicked off January 9, 2017.

“Well, what is grind time Paige?”

I’m so happy you asked! Grind Time is an opportunity to network, study, eat, drink, and enjoy the perks of free Wi-Fi and a beautiful lounge/coffee shop experience; all under one roof. Although Everyday Café is open daily, Grind Time takes place every Monday 5:00pm until 9:00pm.

Sometimes it’s difficult and distracting doing our school work at home, and often times library hours are hard to catch when they operate around the same time you’re at work or in class. The ‘Everyday Café’ is here to help with that, by providing an alternative option for entrepreneurs, students, and the entire community; and did I mention it’s after-hours? Yay!

Recently, on Martin Luther King Day an educated discussion was held amongst peers entitled, “New President. Same King. New Dream?” Where a conversation was facilitated around Martin Luther King’s dream and what we are doing to keep his dream alive. The conversation was facilitated by Spoken Word Artist, Jaquea Mae.

Many people gather at the café whether it be for business or pleasure.

Host of Grind Time @chrissynikole_ said, “I was very pleased with the outcome of Grind Time. A lot of people came, especially young Blacks and I’m looking forward to seeing more of that in the weeks to come.”

The coffe shop is located at 532 N. Homewood Avenue Pittsburgh, PA. 15208.

Everyday Café is also looking into holding more upcoming events at the venue as well. To keep up with the café’s happenings follow them on social media @everydaycafepgh and Grind Time’s host/organizer @chrissynikole_.
