4th Annual Steel City Black Tie Affair!

March 28, 2017

The 4th Annual 'Steel City Black Tie Affair' took place at Nightclub Xtaza, 1620 Smallman Street Saturday March 25, 2017. The doors opened at 10:00pm, and the formal affair continued until 2:00am.

The beginning of the event also went live via Facebook allowing hundreds to see the arrival of guest, and the beautifully decorated venue.

The event was organized by Pittsburgh’s very own Eric Fisher, better known as @yalocalbighomie via Instagram.

Mr. Fisher said, “I said I was the boss and nobody made a sound. We did that Pittsburgh!”

Lights, Camera, Action! Guest began pulling up in formal dresses, sharp suits, tuxedos, and more looking to be a part of Pittsburgh’s most sophisticated party. The moment guest hit the door, they were greeted with flashing lights from photographers, red carpet, and a backdrop.

Some of the events sponsors were, Cherish By Cherie, No Chill Radio, Confluence Catering, Shop Sittoy, Femi, and more. Music provided by The Crowd Pleaser, DJ Solo Dolo, along with live performances by Brian Knight Jr. and Aleisha Quigley.

“It’s an honor and privilege to DJ the annual Steel City Black Tie Affair again this year. I’m glad everyone had a good time last night. Big Shout out to Brian Knight Jr. and Aleisha Quigley, great performances,” DJ Solo Dolo said.

The Black Tie Affair not only provided good music, but also valet parking, desserts, and champagne.

Darah Doubt Swinton said, “This was my first time attending the ‘Black Tie Affair’ and I had a great time. I haven’t had such an exciting night out in a long time, and I had the opportunity to share it alongside my beautiful mother. Made great memories.”

“It was a breath of fresh air to see and enjoy such a nice party amongst young black professionals, all in good fun. I loved so many dresses,” Patrice Lee.

The city is already excited to see what Mr. Fisher does during next years annual affair.
