What initially began as a two-person operation through Carnegie Mellon University in 2006, has grown in extraordinary measures!
Now having employed 450 people!
In order to accommodate the space for the growing number of employees Google transitioned into a workspace located in Bakery Square.
However, Google is preparing to make another move in the midst of the rapid expansion. Rumor has it, they are looking to move downtown.
Kamal Nigam, head of the Google office is excited about the growth of the technology scene in the city of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Google Pittsburgh operates the growing shopping search for businesses in Pittsburgh, while also holding career positions in the Google Headquarters of online advertisers, cloud services, software engineers, product designers, and client relationship managers- according to sources of the: Pittsburgh TRIB.
Nigam says that they have developed teams that use machine learning algorithms and state of the art equipment that mange and process the information needed.
Nigam also says one of the most important uses of mobile technology is users looking to shop. And it is Google's responsibility to help the online users navigate the web to find the great and trusted products/companies they need.
