Concert Review : R-Kelly Concert. Pittsburgh had a lot of celebrities in the city this past weekend, and the King of R&B; R Kelly came in town to show the city some love. The R Kelly, 'After Party' tour/concert took place Saturday May 20, 2017 at 8:00 pm at the Benedum theatre. Hundreds came out to enjoy the many songs of R Kelly. The fans were so dedicated that they waited for two hours for Kellz to hit the stage. The crowd began to chant his name, and cheer attempting to let the King of R&B know that they were ready for the show. As the curtains pulled back the audience saw the band, DJ, backup dancers, and a bar full of women that R Kelly pulled from the audience to enjoy the show from the stage. R Kelly entered the stage through smoke and spotlights. R Kelly took the audience through a journey of his musical career, as he did back-to-back songs from all of his albums. R Kelly jumped into the crowd to dance and mingle with fans, threw money, and shook the hands of many audience members at the end of the show. He even took a woman's phone from the front row and took over her snap chat while singing 'Seems Like You Ready.' The entire show, the crowd was on their feet and filled the aisles while waving their arms and dancing. The concert was hosted by WAMO's Ki Ki Brown.
