Mitchell Gary White, Director of Savoy and ‘Gary White Signature Events’ recently held his annual ‘Women Of Impact Awards.’ The awards took place during the evening of Thursday November 16, 2017 at Savoy Restaurant located in the Strip District in the city of Pittsburgh. About 75-80 attended all in the name of gathering for astounding women in leadership. The event began with a cocktail hour with drinks and appetizers, that allowed guest and Honorees to mix and mingle. The award ceremony started after 7:00pm where Gary White himself took to the podium and shared his kind words and well wishes to each of the Honorees. “Holding the ‘Women Of Impact Awards’ is important to me because I feel it is crucial that we take a moment to highlight women who are defeating the odds and making tremendous moves in their career of choice and impacting the city through their leadership,” Gary White said. Gary White Signature Events hand selected ten women who they felt were deserving of recognition and praise. The awardees included; Darieth Chisolm, Marlisa Goldsmith, Marisa Bartley-Williams, Kimberly Clark-Baskin, and more. Former lead news anchor and founder of 50 Shades Of Silence, Darieth Chisolm was not only a honoree but also the Keynote Speaker for the awards ceremony. Her impactful speech left the room encouraged and ready to connect with her to support her along her journey of helping women through sexual assault crimes. Darieth Chisolm openly shared her experience of dealing with someone who took to sharing adult content footage of her, as an act of revenge. And how she has now started a movement to help more women in similar compromising predicaments. “I can’t explain how much of an honor is to be recognized. Sometimes I’m not quite sure if I deserve it. But nonetheless, it’s an honor and a privilege to be a part of something along with such amazing women,” Darieth Chisolm said. The event concluded with food, conversation, photography, and memories that many will hold for a lifetime. Gary White Signature Events plan to hold this annual event again in 2018.
