Angie’s Summer BBQ Was a Star Studded Success!

Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez threw a Summer BBQ in 2017, and she decided to bring it back for round two August of 2018! Hundreds came out to turn up with Angie Martinez and friends on Saturday August 25, 2018 from 2-7PM at Studio Square in Long Island New York. Presented by Hennessy, while powered by Power 105.1. This Summer BBQ was in full affect! From the food to the vibes, it felt like a family cook-out in your Auntie’s back yard. Instantly guest were greeted at the door with beer, while also having the opportunity to enjoy burgers, wings, snacks, and deserts. Celebrities filtered in throughout the course of the event. Some took the stage for performances while others just came to kick it alongside other celebrity friends. These celebrities included; Tiffany Haddish, Issa Rae, Jessie Williams, Joe Budden, Cyn Santana, Safaree, Angela Yee, Charlamagne, Tory Lanez, Hood Celebrity, Shiggy, and more! Social Media Sensation, Shiggy got the party started when he took the stage to perform his iconic dance to Drake’s ‘In My Feelings’ record. However, his performance was somewhat interrupted when actress/comedian hopped on the stage to battle him! And Tiffany Haddish brought some exclusive dance moves with a touch of Nae-Nae (her signature). The dance battle was so intense, and the two were so talented that we honestly couldn’t decide on a winner. The crowd went insane! Hood Celebrity, Tory Lanez, and Safaree performed their hit songs! Angie’s fans danced, ate, and drank while listening to the DJ spin a variety of popular tracks, while celebrities enjoyed competitive games of Spades, Jenga, & Dominoes at the picnic tables. Many multitasking playing games, snapping photos, and genuinely enjoying the BBQ. The BBQ was such a success that celebrities that were unable to make it- made sure they contacted Angie in efforts to reserve their RSVP for 2019.
