Did you know Gary Owen was named ‘Funniest Man In America’ in 1997?
Now fast forward to 2019, Gary Owen continues to sell out shows across the nation, proving deserving of his past accolade.
Owen sold out three shows in Pittsburgh, PA. during the weekend of February 1st & 2nd.
Owen is know for being an actor, writer, and comic.
I’m sure you remember him from hit movies Act Like A Lady:Think Like A Man, Daddy Day Care, and Ride Along.
Or maybe you recognize him from BET’s Comic View or The Gary Owen Show, where his family took on the spotlight of reality television.
Our fellow light skin brother, Owen has played a pivotal role in our culture and providing laughter to the soul.
While he took the stage during his time in Pittsburgh, he talked about a variety of topics; from relationships to sex to pop culture.
Attendees laughed until their jaws began to hurt.
Every show counted 150 people minimum.
Rhonda Lakes said, “I make sure I see Gary every time he comes here, and he has yet to disappoint. I love me some Gary.”
Following after his three shows he held a ‘Meet and Greet’ at the Improv in the waterfront, and in conclusion of the ‘Meet and Greet’ Savoy/V Lounge provided him with a complimentary limousine and escort that escorted him to an evening of Pittsburgh night life to host a party at V Lounge.
Pittsburgh showed Owen a lot of love during his stay. Michael Llewellyn (Pittsburgh Barber) cur his hair before his second show day, and artists @ardyaf_art_studios (Pittsburgh creative) made him a personal portrait.
