Title: Pittsburgh Steeler, #48 Bud Dupree Shows Love at Pittsburgh Public Schools.
“Here We Go, Steelers!” is what many Pittsburgh Steeler football fans like to chant during the football season. Pittsburgh is a city that bleeds black and gold, and loves the players of the team on and off the field.
Which is why so many people were happy to see Pittsburgh Steeler, #48 line-backer ‘Alvin “Bud” Dupree Jr. dedicate his time to speak to middle school students at Langley and Martin Luther King. Tuesday April 18, 2017 Mr. Dupree stopped by to surprise and encourage the future generation of youth.
“I was once sitting where you are, and football career is a living testimony that you can achieve all that you aspire to do. Your dreams can become reality,” Mr. Dupree said.
The first round NFL draft pick understands the importance of connecting with the youth, and celebrating our young people.
“I enjoyed the students at both schools, and I hope something I said stuck,” Mr. Dupree said. Mr. Dupree took time out to photos and selfies with students after his speech, while also engaging with the students on their Snapchats. Pittsburgh Public School Rep said, “We enjoyed having Mr. Dupree and we would love having him back.”
