Ozzie & Me Scholarship Foundation Available for Single Moms!

Not only for Christin, her son, and her family; but this day became the day that would inspire mothers for years to come. “As many may know I had my son my senior year of college and I started graduate school as a breastfeeding single mom of a 3 month old,” Christin said. Christin Thorpe’s journey has been an incredible one! With her continued perseverance, she has accomplished so much, all while doing so with her son right by her side. After receiving the news that she was pregnant while enrolled as a full time student of Hampton University, she made a promise to herself that quitting was not an option. She pressed on, and not only did she finish receiving her Bachelors degree from Hampton, but she also attained her Masters Degree from the University Of Pittsburgh. “It was hard to say the least, and now I am excited to support another young mother in reaching her goals through my scholarship foundation,” Christin said. Through Christin’s inspirational academic journey, and more importantly her passion for motherhood; has now transformed into the creation of the ‘Ozzie & Me Scholarship Foundation.’ “I named the scholarship Ozzie & Me, because everything has been about me and my son. He is truly my partner in crime. We do everything together, and I would not want it any other way,” Christin said. This scholarship opportunity was specifically designed for single mothers. Here are the Requirements: -Must Be a Single Mother. -Ages 17-25. - Enrolled Full Time in an accredited college or university. -In pursuit of a BA or Masters. - Enrolling with a sophomore status or higher for the 2018-2019 academic school year. - completed application. And Christin is giving away $1,000.00 to an inspirational single mother like herself, that is working hard to excel in her dreams.
