The Festival Of Food & Rum! #SuedeFest

By: Paige Mitchell The New York City Based Restaurant that is known for its exquisite Caribbean food and voted #1 place to brunch; recently held its Suede Fest at the Marine Park Golf Course in Brooklyn. Celebrity @thejessiewoo said, “Big thank you to Suede for putting together an amazing event! I saw so many Seeesters and Bruddahs.” Thousands gathered at the opportunity to taste Suede’s food options. “It was dope,” celebrity @raeholliday said. The festival of food and rum was filled with ten different booths, highlighting a variety of foods; seafood, Mexican, Chinese, breakfast style, deserts, and more! People were willing to stand in line for over 15 minutes for the chance to indulge in a plate of delicious food from Suede. The crab legs and salmon were the nights most popular. The Caribbean culture is one that is known for its food, bright colors, and dancing. Caribbean food is a fusion of African, Creole, Cajun, Amerindian, European, Latin, and American with an extra touch of The forever evolving culinary practices. Caribbean cuisine is a representation of cultural influence. A festival is a day or period of celebration, and the Suede Fest was a night I believe people will remember. The event began at 3pm and went on until 10pm on Sunday June 9, 2019. With a DJ on the main stage inside the venue, and a second DJ outside to entertain guest who wanted to enjoy the weather and views from the golf course. Models hit the stage around 9pm for a fashion show. Yandy Smith Of Love and Hip Hop was featured in the Suede Beauty Box for her Yelle Skin Care line- which is plant based products for melanin rich skin. @yandysmith said, “I love when work feels like a party with family.” Other celebrities attended the festival such as; Angela Yee and Claire Sulmers.
